About Dr. Dina Hajdini
Dr. Dina is a Licensed Psychologist and BACP-registered Psychotherapist with extensive experience supporting people experiencing a broad range of psychological and emotional difficulties. Her own lived experience of therapy has shaped the way she works, enabling her to bring genuine empathy, authenticity, and compassion to the therapeutic relationship while helping clients move towards lasting change.
Over the past decade, Dr. Dina has worked across a variety of mental health settings, supporting individuals experiencing addiction, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and low self-esteem. Alongside her clinical practice, she has been involved in addiction research, strengthening her commitment to evidence-based psychological care and deepening her understanding of complex mental health presentations. Her professional background spans both private practice and the charitable sector, where she served as both trustee and co-manager of a charity dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by addiction. She has developed particular expertise in working with families facing challenging relational issues, including domestic abuse, personality disorders, and codependent relationships.
In addition to her therapeutic work, Dr. Dina has held senior clinical and service development positions, including managing a multidisciplinary clinical team within a psychiatry department. Working alongside consultant psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, she contributed to specialist ADHD services, supporting assessment pathways, service development, and collaborative treatment planning.
Dr. Dina adopts an integrative, relational, and trauma-informed approach to therapy, tailoring her work to meet each client’s individual needs. She is trained in a range of evidence-based therapeutic models, including Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic and Psychoanalytic approaches. She also incorporates principles from Schema Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) in both individual and group work, helping clients develop healthier emotional regulation, improve relationships, and create sustainable behavioural change. Alongside these approaches, she integrates somatic and body-based techniques to support trauma recovery, strengthen mind-body awareness, and foster greater self-compassion and emotional safety.
Dr. Dina has a specialist interest in addiction and neurodiversity and has worked extensively alongside psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams supporting individuals with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Conditions. She is trained in administering a range of recognised diagnostic and screening measures, including the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) for both children and adults, the Conners and DIVA assessments for ADHD, and QBCheck, an objective assessment of attention and impulsivity. She also contributes to wider cognitive assessments as part of comprehensive multidisciplinary diagnostic evaluations.
