What is the DBT Crisis Service?
We are excited to announce our DBT Crisis service, a service aimed at supporting individuals experiencing suicidal thoughts. Our mission is to break the stigma surrounding this pervasive issue by providing a safe and non-judgmental space for individuals to openly discuss their feelings.
Through this service, we aim to equip individuals with practical coping mechanisms to manage intense negative emotions that may lead to suicidal thoughts or intent. Our approach draws primarily from the Distress Tolerance module of DBT, which empowers individuals with the tools to tolerate and regulate emotions effectively. By doing so, we also aim to reduce the number of A&E admissions which are related to these suicidal feelings.
We recognize the gravity of suicidal thoughts and the importance of seeking professional help. Our team of compassionate therapists will work with individuals to develop a personalized plan of action to help them overcome this challenging period in their lives.
