Download CV View Professional InsuranceJade is a BACP Registered Psychotherapist and Counselling Psychologist in Doctoral Training at Private Therapy Clinic, she is currently undertaking her professional Doctorate (DPsych) at The University of Roehampton, London. Jade has experience of treating a range of disorders such as: Depression, Low Mood, Anxiety, Relationships, Interpersonal Difficulties, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and Trauma.
Jade draws upon the Person-Centred therapy approach which aims to put the client at the centre of the therapy and enable the client to reflect on their thoughts, feelings, behaviours and experiences (past and present) in a safe, non-judgemental and confidential environment. Person-Centred therapy can help clients to achieve self-actualisation, self-discovery, and self-confidence. Jade is currently specialising in the Psychodynamic approach which is a more in- depth therapy, focusing on helping clients to understand their mind at a subconscious level.
In your first session Jade will focus on getting to know you and beginning to understand your experiences and your world. The first session won’t necessarily focus on exploring or solving your difficulties in detail but will allow Jade to gain insight into you as a person and what has brought you to therapy. Jade focuses on empowering you and working collaboratively with you to help you achieve your therapeutic goals. Jade is empathetic and has a warming presence with all of her clients.
Over the years, Jade has gained valuable experience working as a Psychological Well-Being Practitioner at Private Therapy Clinic engaging in group supervision and one-to-one supervision with our Senior Counselling Psychologists to help enhance her skills as a therapist. Jade has worked with a variety of presentations such as; Depression, Low Mood, Anxiety, Relationships, Interpersonal Difficulties, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and Trauma.
Jade also has experience of working with children as she gained valuable experience working in a Primary School setting supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) including; Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) & Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) as well as working closely with safeguarding and looked after children. In addition to this, Jade coordinated and delivered Emotional Literacy CBT Interventions for children with behavioural difficulties, with an aim to help them recognise their emotions, become more self-aware and motivated within school.
Jade has completed her Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) training with Child Autism UK. ABA Therapy is used for clients with Autism or young children, it aims to help improve their ability in basic skills or communication and reduces challenging behaviours or anxiety.
Jade graduated from the University of Northampton with a high 2:1 in BSc Psychology. She is currently undertaking her Counselling Psychologist Doctoral Training at The University of Roehampton, London in order to become a HCPC Registered Psychologist.
