Nicole Eid is a highly specialized Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) with more than 18 years experience in the field of mental health.
Nicole has been trained and supervised by the founder of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dr. Aaron Beck and his daughter, Dr. Judith Beck. This training, in addition to Nicole’s many years of experience, taught her how to identify triggers in clients and share with them techniques to be used in a constructive and functional way. Additionally, it taught her how to formulate clients’ difficulties and to handle stressful situations. Nicole often attends workshops and seminars in order to continuously improve the delivery of her therapy skills and to stay up to date with the newest evidence based practices.
Over the years, Nicole has been working with clients presenting a wide range of mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, low self esteem, personality disorders, emotional difficulties, relationship issues and more. She has used CBT as well as other therapeutic approaches such as motivational interviewing and psychodynamic therapy. Nicole has a great deal of experience working with anxiety, namely social anxiety, health anxiety, generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive compulsive disorders, phobias, panic disorders, perfectionism and post traumatic stress disorder.
When working on anger management, Nicole considers that a CBT approach is a technique of choice as it helps the client Identify the triggers. She will teach them how to replace passive or aggressive behaviours with assertiveness tools that will benefit the individual and their relationships.

Nicole Eid is fluent in English, Arabic and French and has lived in different countries throughout her life, making her culturally sensitive to different issues. By working online, Nicole offers each clients better flexibility and a more efficient time management allowing them to solely focus on the session whilst avoiding delays due to travel. Nicole often works with expats who have a sense of isolation and a feeling of not belonging and guides them through the confusion and the difficulty of being away from home as well as shares with them skills and techniques to adapt to their new environment. Furthermore, she often works in collaboration with consultancy firms where employees work in difficult and stressful environments. She assists them in working on their developmental needs and in managing their stress and anxiety often linked with extremely demanding jobs, long hours and separation from their families.
During her first session, Nicole will collaboratively work with the client to create a treatment plan that is tailored to the individual’s difficulties and goals. She considers the first session to be crucial to create a good rapport with the client. She uses a person centered approach filled with respect and high moral and ethical standards. She is warm, compassionate and empathetic, always putting the client’s safety and needs first. During the sessions, Nicole offers the clients a safe space, a feeling of being accepted unconditionally and an opportunity to speak openly without feeling judged. She considers that everyone could benefit from therapy as it helps with personal development and with understanding oneself better. Indeed, Nicole believes that the first step to change is awareness of feelings, triggers and cognitions.
