About Nirali Pindoria
Nirali Pindoria is a BACP Accredited Psychotherapist and Trainee Counselling Psychologist working with adults who are seeking a deeper understanding of themselves, their relationships, and the patterns that shape how they move through the world. She offers a warm, reflective, and relational space in which clients can explore their difficulties at their own pace, with curiosity and compassion.
At the heart of Nirali’s work is a belief in the power of the therapeutic relationship. She understands therapy as a collaborative and human process, a space where thoughts, feelings, and experiences can be explored together. Often, it is through being with another person that aspects of ourselves become clearer: how we relate, how we protect ourselves, what feels difficult to say, and what longs to be understood. Nirali is attentive to these relational dynamics and gently supports clients to notice what emerges, both inside and outside the therapy room.
Nirali works from a sex-positive ethos and welcomes people from all sexualities, gender identities, and cultural/faith backgrounds. Her curious, non-judgemental stance means that she leaves space for you to guide the content of the session; however, takes a more active approach when helping you to identify the patterns and assumptions you hold that may be challenging to see on your own. As a pluralistic and integrative practitioner, she does not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Her foundation is humanistic and person-centred, emphasising safety, authenticity, and trust. Nirali draws upon Psychodynamic thinking to explore early experiences and unconscious patterns, alongside practical, present-focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques. Her work is further informed by existential ideas, holding space for questions of meaning, identity, responsibility, and what it means to live a life that feels more aligned and alive.
Clinical Experience
Nirali has worked in a range of NHS and third-sector settings. Most recently she worked at a specialist psychosexual service at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, supporting adults to explore sexuality, intimacy, pain, pleasure, shame, desire, and identity with sensitivity and care. She previously worked at LAPIS, a charity offering longer-term therapy to individuals with learning disabilities, neurodivergent needs, and long-term health conditions. These experiences have shaped her thoughtful, inclusive, and carefully attuned approach to complexity and difference.
Alongside this, Nirali has a particular interest in perinatal mental health and supports individuals and couples navigating fertility challenges, pregnancy, miscarriage, postnatal depression, and the emotional transitions involved in becoming a parent. She also has a longstanding commitment to supporting people through crisis and periods of feeling overwhelmed, hopeless, or suicidal. Nirali has volunteered with Samaritans for over five years and is involved in the training and mentoring of new volunteers. She is particularly drawn to working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and welcomes clients exploring questions related to sexuality, gender, belonging, and self-understanding.

Nirali is a British-Indian therapist and holds an undergraduate degree in Anthropology, which continues to inform her curiosity about people, culture, and identity. She also holds an MSc in Psychology and is currently completing a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology. Nirali works under clinical supervision and is a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society, working towards HCPC registration as a Counselling Psychologist.
