View Professional InsuranceMarios focuses on areas such as limerence, depression, anxiety (including social), self-esteem, issues with motivation/procrastination, and limiting self-beliefs. Limerence is an under-researched topic, and it’s complicated to deal with. Marios has worked with over 200 clients on this topic, finding that an integrative approach utilising techniques based on the situation works best. Always, a holistic approach to the person’s suffering and their life circumstances is required.
As a therapist, Marios focuses on psychodynamic and humanistic approaches. For some clients, the practical, grounding nature of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques proves useful and is employed from time to time. Marios believes that integrative use of approaches and relational depth are powerful ways to work with clients.
Marios is undertaking a Doctor of Psychology course in Counselling Psychology at City, University of London as of September 2023. Marios holds a Master of Science degree in Psychology from Birkbeck, University of London, and a Counselling Skills Training certificate from the Private Therapy Clinic in London, having graduated from Birkbeck in 2020 achieving Distinction grade as well as for the research project based on the genetic basis of anxiety, depression, and loneliness in the context of neuroticism scores.
