Dr. Nick Earley is a HCPC Registered Practitioner Psychologist who holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Edinburgh and undertook his Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) training at King’s College London.
Nick has extensive experience in the NHS helping clients overcome common and complex mental health difficulties inPrimary Care (IAPT), Secondary Care, Inpatient and Forensic Services. This has allowed him to develop a broad range of skills specialising in working with complex trauma, loss, anxiety disorders (such as OCD, panic and social phobia), depression and personality disorder in addition to many other conditions.
Nick is an open, warm and compassionate clinician who believes meaningful change can be achieved in the context of a strong therapeutic relationship.
Nick adopts an integrative treatment approach. Whilst Nick’s primary approach is Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), he also draws on a number of different therapeutic approaches most suited to the client in order to gain a shared understanding of theirdifficulties, and work collaboratively towards achieving their goals and making meaningful changes. In addition to CBT, other therapeutic models he utilises but is not limited toincludes: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Mentalization-based therapy (MBT) and Motivation Interviewing (MI).
Nick works in accordance with professional practice guidelines (BPS & HCPC). He is committed to Continuing Professional Development and regularly reviews the most recent research and attends regular training to keep up-to-date with the best therapeutic models ensuring he provides the best care for his clients.
