Diana strongly believes that all of us are different and we should embrace our differences. She promotes a collaborative approach to therapy, your goals for improved mental health will guide and shape the sessions. She feels this helps when a client finishes therapy as it allows them to reflect upon the therapy and implement what was useful. Many times, people just know that things in their life are not right but find it challenging to describe in words. This is normal, one purpose for therapy is to help you make sense of what you are experiencing.
Diana understands that we are often reluctant to ask for help because of the social threats involved, she feels it is challenging to know our blind spots ourselves but with the support of a therapist, it becomes easy to learn and grow and that is why it is important to check in, now and then with a therapist.
Diana will work at your pace, helping you identify triggers, unhelpful thinking patterns, and feelings together and will help you work through them and gain insight.
Diana understands that seeking help and working with challenges can be very distressing and require trust to be established and an emotionally supportive therapeutic relationship. If you are here and ready to take that step, Diana is available to support you, facilitate your thoughts, feelings and behaviours and collaboratively help you achieve your treatment goals.
