Shireen Sultana is an experienced, enthusiastic, skilled and well-motivated Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with a good track record of working with adults (18 and over) experiencing moderate to severe depression and anxiety disorders. She has experience of working in IAPT services for more than 10 years. She provides CBT for various disorders such as OCD, PTSD, specific phobia, GAD, social anxiety, health anxiety, panic with or without agoraphobia, low self-esteem and medically unexplained symptoms (e.g., chronic pain, somatoform disorder, IBS and CFS). Most of the time people presented with chronic, complex and recurrent history and depression and anxiety and with co-morbid conditions.

Shireen Sultana completed her Postgraduate Diploma in CBT from the University of Brighton in 2009 and is fully accredited by BABCP as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist.

Having worked in Tower Hamlets and being a bilingual therapist, she has a very good understanding of the psychosocial problems of communities which help me to overcome barriers in therapy.

Since she has been working within IAPT services for a long time, she’s now keen on expanding her clinical skills to working in secondary care services with more complex cases. She believes she meets the specific criterion of the job role.

Shireen Sultana is available to work on Saturdays for clinical work and for providing supervision.
